Harris E. "Gene" Yarbrough, III

Gene Yarbrough, Iota Theta (Southern Methodist), joined the Sigma Nu Educational Foundation's Board of Directors in 2009 and currently serves as an At-Large Member. 

 

Initiated as Iota Theta #25, Gene served his chapter in a variety of roles including a term as Commander.  Upon graduating, he began working for International Lease Finance Corporation as a sales representative leasing commercial aircraft.  Gene remained in that industry for years and even started his own company which he sold in 2002.  Since that time, Gene has worked in the real estate development business.  He is currently the Chairman and CEO of Texas Private Equity Partners, LLC which primarily invests in and manages commercial real estate.  He holds the same position with Park Cities Preferred Properties, LLC, a residential brokerage company dealing in high-end homes.

 

Gene's hobbies include travel and volunteer work in the area of mentoring young people.  He also volunteers his time working with people who are looking to start their own businesses.
